2010 resolutions (yea right)

-Read more good books- The goal is 52 books in 52 weeks, but that might not happen with school and work.  I’ll be in a book war against some denizens on the forum, who are also infinitely lazy so even if I don’t hit my goal I’ll still be motivated to beat them.

-Watch more good movies-  I’m going to try to continue our movie night once a week for 2010.  Again, it’ll be hard because of school, but if I make the proper sacrifices and plan… I think I can take one day off a week.

-Listen to more good music-  Beg and plead for those in the know to give me music.  Top 40 music this day is absolute shit, and I’m surprised that with all their ads, radio is still in business.  I also resolve to go to at least two concerts this year.  Maybe next year, make it to SXSW.

-Cook more good food- 2010 is going to be the year of meat.  Instead of jumping into fancy dishes that would impress a date, I want to develop an innate understanding about different cuts of meat, and how they react to temperature and time (also known as cooking).  I’ll start with beef, which is easy to get and prepare.

-Build more things- There’s a lot of small little projects on lifehacker that I want to make, like building lamps out of wine bottles, or terrariums out of lightbulbs, or guns that make people sick.  With each completed project comes not only a sense of accomplishment, but also new knowledge.
